Compared to single row angular contact ball bearings, the double row design offers significantly higher load-carrying capacity (especially axial loads) and rigidity.

- 25° Contact Angle (Most Common):Offers a balanced combination of radial/axial load capacity, rigidity, and speed; the most widely used type.
- 30°/40° Contact Angle:Focuses on high axial load capacity and rigidity; suitable for predominantly axial loads at relatively lower speeds.
- By Structural Design:
- Standard Type:Solid outer ring and separable inner ring(s) (often with flanges or ribs). Most common design (e.g., 3300, 3200 series).
- Sealed/Shielded Type:Equipped with contact rubber seals (RS/2RS) or non-contact shields (ZZ/2Z) for environments requiring protection against dust, moisture, or lubricant retention.
- Flanged Outer Ring:Outer ring features a flange for easy axial positioning and simplified installation.
- Tapered Bore:Inner ring has a tapered bore for clearance/preload adjustment by axial displacement.
